Bugs have plagued the game for its entire lifespan. The new direction kept up the appeal of exploring a post-apocalyptic wasteland and retained plenty of iconic elements from the previous games, including the VATS system and Pip-Boy. That isn't to say that Fallout 3 is a perfect game, though. The way Bethesda transitioned Fallout and Fallout 2 into an FPS RPG is nothing short of incredible. I think they should realese a Enegry Weapons DLC that include new weapons, new ammo types, and a new vendor like Gun Runners that sells Energy Weapons.Fallout 3 certainly turned heads for when it was released in 2008. If you can make your own ammo it provides an even greater advantage - User:The Clamps 13:24 October 21, I was also an Energy Weapons guy in Fallout 3. Hunting shotgun and or brush gun are always my choices. I most always go with guns, use the LAER for the worst situations. I was an energy weapons person in Fallout 3 because the ammo was easier to find and you have a constant source of the weapons from the Enclave, but in New Vegas I find it easier to use guns because everything else is so scarce. I prefer Energy Weapons, but because ammo for Guns is so much easier to find, I use Guns way more often. Of the Energy weapons, the one I used the most was the simple Laser rifle w/ mods. I also agree guns are a better choice silver rush barley sells anything. Plus, almost all Guns have higher damage and DPS. For microfusion cells, As soon as I got the LAER i put up all other weapons that used that ammo type. With guns you have so many ammo types that it's a good idea to keep an arsenal stashed somewhere and rotate the guns you carry depending on what you expect to face and/or what ammo you have in decent quantities. Energy Weapons, limited to four ammo types, quickly make it clear which weapon is the best for each ammo type and all the other weapons end up sold or stashed away, never used. I like the sheer variety you get with Guns. So which do you prefer? Energy Weapons or Guns? PaladinRanger 16:47, Octo(UTC)
